What Affiliate Marketing IS NOT!

Amazon opened it's affiliate program (known as Amazon Associates Program) in 1996. In 1998 Commission Junction and Rakuten became the first affiliate networks to exist.

An affiliate network is a service that connects affiliate marketers (YOU) with affiliate companies. Joining affiliate networks is a great way to apply for multiple numbers of

affiliate companies all from the same website. Examples are: JVZoo, WarriorPlus, ClickBank, ShareASaleDigistore24 & CJAffiliates.

Of course, you still need to be careful! Scammers are always looking for creative ways to deceive people. Joining an affiliate program should ALWAYS be free! Avoid joining affiliate programs that asks for a payment through a credit card or PayPal.

Affiliate companies need YOU to promote their products. It is their way of saving in advertising while gaining customers. The cost of television advertisement is high, and companies are always looking for ways to increase sales, while keeping expenses low. Affiliate marketing is a win win for both Companies and Affiliate Marketers.
